David Shontz

David is the former Global Head of Workforce Analytics & Insights at Nokia, and based in Munich. He has a long career in HR Functional and Leadership roles with large multi-national corporations.  Apart from Nokia, these include Siemens, GE, and Ford Motor Company, and have included roles in Noth America, Asia and Europe. His broad experience in many HR functions, as well as a number of years in Strategic Business Partnership roles, have provided great context needed to quickly grow the value of People Analytics.   
 
In his current role, he is focused on developing the analytics capability of the team, and to support a growing number of use cases to enable Business and Employee Success. Their People Analytics Journey has been fast and furious, catching the attention, and inspiring other HR Analytics organizations. For him, it is an exciting journey in a dynamic organization, with a growing appetite for the value of data-driven insights.
 
David is an Advisory Board member of the HR Analytics ThinkTank organization and a featured contributor in the 2021 book “Excellence in People Analytics: How to use Workforce Data to Create  Business Value” by Jonathan Ferrar and David Green. He is American by nationality, but has lived in Munich over the past 15 years. He holds Degrees in I/O Psychology and Political Science.
